Who should be a tutor?

Many of our volunteers are education professionals, or have extensive experience working with children; however, we've found that volunteers without any experience can become excellent tutors as well.  The things that all of our successful volunteers have in common are that they are caring, committed and consistent.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, or over 12 if volunteering alongside a parent. 

Tutors must be able to commit to attending most tutoring sessions.  If you're interested in volunteering with ASKT, but can't make a weekly commitment, consider being a childcare volunteer, or a substitute tutor.
